Have you ever been connected with someone that when apart it is a countdown to when you will be with that person again?

Sitting up at midnight watching a rerun of Iron Chef, I know with all my being that Robert is my love and my life. I can’t sleep without him being home. It has been a struggle since he is working a different shift, so even though I have this summer off I am LOST.

I am not cooking like normal. I miss our menu planning for the week. We love to cook and grill together, but not the same if he is not here. I had not realized how much of our lives he fills up until he was not home at night. I admire him for being a husband and father willing to sacrifice his time and energy to put in wireless for this district. My hope is that these schools appreciate what he and his team is doing this summer.

We have a lot recorded which includes shows like “The Next Food Network Star,” to “So You Think You Can Dance.” Oh and “Hell’s Kitchen” premiered tonight and our wing night has been postponed. I just miss our food and fun each night. Makes me really appreciate our relationship.

My wish for all of you out there is that you find a person that excites you to be better each day, who believes in you, who fulfills all those small pieces that you could do alone, but would rather not.

This is a blog to my husband who has no idea how LOST I would be without him.
