What is on your to-do list for 2010
January 2nd, 2010 by Tanya in General

My sister’s status was sad on the 1st, but happy at the same time which we are all remembering dad, but happy to have the family so close again. My sister and brother are back to work in City Center, so that is a blessing. We decided to not make resolutions this year because it seems to be connected to failure. We all make resolutions, but then may not make it like giving up junk food, exercising, quit smoking, or lose weight. Life seems to take over and then the feeling of failure is not the best way to finish off any year.

I read a status that stated “I am breaking up with you 2009.” And why not? You can leave behind all that you don’t want to keep in your heart. You can shake the dirt off your shoes and kick off all that had held you back before. Don’t look back, don’t regret, and forgive yourself. If you feel refreshed or refueled by the New Year then hold onto that with both hands.

As for us, we want to bring what he loved about last year into this year:

1. Wing night has become not just eating, but a tradition. It is a time for communication.

2. Cooking together/trying new recipes like our now famous Chicken Speidie/Cole Slaw Eggrolls. It is a time to be creative.

3. Do more than just grumble about American Politics. It is a time to get involved.

4. Continue to support Prison Fellowship & ACLJ. It is a time to give.

5. Writing is a passion and a hope of becoming a full-time gig. It is a time to be expressive.

6. Family moments are key to our well-being. It is time to stay connected.

7. Time is valuable, don’t waste it on negativity. It is time to be positive.

8. Living in the dream. It is time to believe.

We do have a few items on our to-do list this year. There is hope that these will happen, but if not then we are just content with the life we have at this time and in this moment.

The plan is take this year by storm with promoting Fat Haters Club, writing Robert’s idea, get a producer to turn book into a movie, and be on Dancing with the Stars, of course LOL. All these would just add to the year being better. The best part of this year is that we are together. We are happy, healthy, and safe.

God Bless you this new year. Wish you all a year full of so many great moments that they outweigh the bad J
