 Okay, so my nephew is in 7th grade. He is 12 and has a 12 year old girlfriend. This young girl sent him full frontal naked pictures of her breasts. What in the world is happening? How would you proceed? As a parent of the young boy, do you contact the young girl’s family? In today’s society, it is much more of a difficult question as you just don’t know what environment the girl lives in. I feel as a parent of such a young girl putting her naked body on the internet I would want to know so I could protect her from making the mistake again. Why the hesitancy to connect the family’s together to handle this intimate matter? I am at a loss on how to handle anything anymore.

So, another controversial topic. One kind of prayer is called imprecatory prayers. “Some react to the harsh language of the imprecatory psalms. While this is understandable, we mustn’t lose sight of what our sin deserves. Others underscore the teaching of Jesus to love our enemies. But loving our enemies in the New Testament never comes at the expense of forgoing appeals to divine justice. Praying for God to punish the wicked is neither unloving nor vindictive but is an expression of faith in Him who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23). Still others want to limit the imprecatory psalms to old covenant Israel. While the circumstances of God’s covenant people have changed with the advent of Christ, the same cruelties that plagued Israel as a believing people in a hostile world still haunt the church today. If we remove the vocabulary of the imprecatory psalms from our homes and churches, what else will Christians sing and pray when tragedy strikes?” (Dr. John W. Tweeddale).

Imprecatory prayers are not praying with a cold heart seeking revenge and damnation on others. It is a prayer that begins with asking God to save people, to change them, to move them, and if none of those prayers work then like King David when he prays that God would crush his enemies underfoot.

“Scorn has broken my heart and has left me helpless; I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I found none. They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst. May the table set before them become a snare; may it become retribution and a trap. May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever. Pour out your wrath on them; let your fierce anger overtake them. May their place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in their tents.
For they persecute those you wound and talk about the pain of those you hurt” (Psalm 69: 20-26).

“For he never thought of doing kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy and the brokenhearted. He loved to pronounce a curse–may it come back on him. He found no pleasure in blessing–may it be far from him. He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil. May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him. May this be the Lord’s around him. May this be the Lord’s payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil of met” (Psalm 109: 16-20).

In the 15th chapter of the gospel of John, the apostle John uses imprecatory words when he retells the story of the vine and the branches. God is the gardener. Jesus spoke that He was the Vine and there are two kinds of branches. One that follows him and bears fruit, but the other branch bears no fruit so those branches will be cut away from the vine. So the point is that it is better to be saved, changed, and moved to follow Christ. Then in verse 18 the title is “the world hates the disciples.”

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you” (John 15: 18-19).

The apostle Paul also used David’s Imprecatory prayer along with connecting back to the branches that get nourished by the vine and the branches that reject that nourishment would be broken off from the vine. All branches are given the opportunity to grow from the vine, but if not then those branches wither, die, and are broken away from the vine.

“And David says: May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them. May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever” (Romans 11: 9-10).

“You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off so that they could be grafted in.’ Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either (Romans 11: 21).

Prayers for this world today. Prayers for families who are struggling to keep the innocence of their kids. May we reach out to kids to not side with the world, but keep their hearts tender to God’s words. Prayers for peace to overcome war.

“Imagine you are lost in the wilderness and you asked for help and the response you got was ‘You are your own compass.’ That doesn’t make you feel more found. It makes you feel more profoundly lost” (Jeff Myers, Summit Ministries).

 “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ” (Colossians 2:8).

“The very essence of God’s creative order and divine purpose is being warped by radicals plotting vain things that run counter to God and His unchanging Word. What is male and female? What is family? What does it mean to be human? The question has never been whether or not human beings, especially young people, are going to be challenged by deceptive doctrine. The question has always been, will God’s people be faithful in their generation?” (Jerry Pierce).

Faithful families hear:

“I’ve decided I am an atheist” after one semester in college away from family

-despite all of the prayers for their child he had fallen prey to the “empty deceit: of popular atheism

“I’ve decided I am a lesbian” after therapist approval dealing with her doubts about her sexual identity that stemmed from social media “influencers” and the progressive culture of her high school.

“I identity as transgender” whose son takes on the identity of a female

-over time parents give into becoming LGBTQ friendly slogans and rainbow flags as part of the cultural indoctrination for both the son and parents

Indoctrination by the world and its spiritual forces is not new. It goes back to the Garden of Eden. 

-warfare against God’s truth is aided by decades of materialism and secularism

-propagated in cultural institutions

-intensified by the internet and modern digital technology

-social barriers that smartphones and social media create between people, especially parents and children in every day communication

-alternative to looking to parents for wisdom is to look to the world’s value system-a replacement of God’s truths

Example: If there was a creepy guy walking around your school whispering awful things into the ears of impressionable kids would you do something about it?

-That creepy guy is TikTok-fed by artificial  intelligence-providing a direct pathway into the hearts and minds of young people

The public school system is propagating ideas that counter God’s truth about the world we inhabit

-radical activists have been able to work through public school to instill their beliefs 

-LGBTQ, Critical Race Theory, Restorative Justice, Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity, and Social Emotional Learning implemented under the watchful eye of parents

-School districts attempt to skirt accountability to parents on such things as sex education, gender theory, and accommodation of students wishing to change their gender identity without notifying parents

-over 1,000 school districts have policies keeping parents out of the loop on gender identity

3 major lies bringing increasing social division, anxiety, and distrust of God’s truth

-the toxic derived from critical race theory that the United States “an irreparably racist county” in a world separated into two groups–oppressors and the oppressed

-a vast majority of Americans, up until just a few decades ago, believed marriage to be an exclusive union between one man and one woman for life

-many people have come to believe what we call homosexual or transgender ideology, which is that sex is somehow a separate from gender and there are an infinitude of genders, and people can whatever they feel like

“ The onslaught of transgender ideology in the last decade is a daily news story, as some parents face scorn for challenging the indoctrination of kids by ideology.”

Ex. drag queen story hour in public libraries and has been in some public schools

Professional Organizations:

-American Medical Association

-American Bar Association

-American Library Association

Ex. promotes LGBTQ Pride Month events such as “banned books week” promoting porn graphic books under the guise of “intellectual freedom”

**All in line with left-wing cultural demands

How did we get here?

-Theological liberalism and the rise of Darwinism in the 19th and early 20th centuries tilled the soil for rebellion against the grand narrative of Scripture

-The sexual revolution in the 1960s part of flow of a departure from Scriptural authority

-Biblical marriage being challenged and sex was redefined as merely a recreational pleasure rather than a God-designed blessing between one man and one woman that provides a living metaphor of the union of Christ and His Church

-This paved a way for the LGBTQ movement’s ascent

-Media savvy activists won the day among the elites in academia, politics, medicine, entertainment, and business 

-The delusion affecting our culture is now affecting our culture, our children with regard to sexuality

-Planned Parenthood and SIECUS(Sexual Information and Education Council) advocated radical sex education in even young grade levels

-They actively spread the mantra globally that “Sex Ed is a human right” and “ Sex Ed for Social Change.”

-There is enormous pressure to believe both homosexuality and transgenderism is good for society

“Christians must be the ones to bring healing on these issues and to present the Biblical narrative with grace and kindness, but with truth” (Jerry Pierce).

Sad Stats:

-Studies suggest only around 10% of young adults who identify as Christians and regularly attend church hold a Biblical Worldview.

The challenge of the church is to effectively engage children and teens with the Scripture and apologetics. 

Two of the most dangerous ideas

-the notion that our relationship with God is merely privatized faith to be mediated by our own preferences, and outside of the church (the idea we are our own creators and we decide who we are and what we want)

-We are seeing the stress fractures, anxiety, and stress fractures

“Christianity stands alone in offering a comprehensive view of the world as it really is, who we are, and who God is” (Jerry Pierce).

 Why are parents showing up to school board meetings reading the graphic books 

 students are assigned to read?

-go to a meeting and see as they read these graphic books their mic is cut off or

they are removed from the meeting

for being too obscene

-school boards are using the obscenity laws to stop parents and other from 

reading the material in the meeting

-school boards us the exemption from the obscenity laws to ensure the graphic

books are available to K-12 students

-What better way to catch the attention of our kids but to tell them to read banned books?

These things manifest themselves in humans to promote this doctrine

Why confronting graphic novels in our schools?

-erotica: picture porn-it leaves a lot to the imagination-start to visualize-developing 

worldview on sex-

-uses and abuses the kids natural ability to be curious about their body

-outcomes: suicide, assaulting each other, sexual assaults in school, 

-when looking at the pictures in these books forever change the mind 

-Statistics:

-12 years old average age being exposed to pornography

-15% surveyed said saw porn below the age of 10

-75% age 17 had seen pornography

-52% age 17 has seen graphic porn-rape or someone in pain, choking

Why it should matter to the church

-Pagan religions focus on the children

-All ancient religions responsible for the rape and murder of children to their gods are 

starting to resurface

--practices of the Babylonians-worship systems

-How to worship Dianna-these are spiritual issues

-We were created in the image of God and Satan hates this 

-Biblical issues: Satan is going after Christian principles

-Women like romance novels-Sarah Moss-uses that to draw young female readers

-How can you be complicit when you drop your kids off at school knowing the building 

contains pornography?

At church on Sunday, Brad Dacus who is the founder of Pacific Justice Institute spoke about his experiences with defending civil liberties, religious liberties, protecting freedoms such as freedom of speech, and how to educate ourselves on the attacks on our humanity and freedoms.


It is the first church I have attended where I am listening to a pastor who embraces talking about the tough and almost taboo topics not usually talked about in church. He challenges believers to be a voice in the signs of the times. He speaks of being an active participant in reaping a harvest for God’s kingdom. Fault of the church is not being engaged in our civic duty of influence. Darkness is so dark today because we are not fighting against the evil we see in our country and all over the world. So, the topics covered were prophecy and how the Bible declares the end from the beginning. All that is happening in Gaza has been spoken in the only true history book: The Bible.


Dacus spoke about being in the beginnings of sorrows and that we are in the time of great deception. As believers, we should understand the importance of prophecy as it is weaved throughout the Bible from Genesis to the book of Revelation.


Prophecy was given not to create fear and anxiety, but is given to be used for peace. These prophecies outline the signs of the times and how believers can mobilize which is to be in the Word and glean revelation from the Word to reap a harvest for God.


In Genesis 12, The Lord spoke to Abram to go from his country and travel to the land God would show him. This was an example of our calling to walk by faith and not by sight. It would have been easier for Abram to stay in comfort, but he chose to obey God to see God’ promised fulfilled. Here is God’s prophecy/promise to Abram who would become Abraham.


“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. I will make your name great and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:3)


Remember Joseph who dreamt in prophecy that he would reign and his brothers would bow down to him. His brothers in their jealousy sold him to slavery. At the end of Joseph’s story, his brothers did bow to him as Pharoah’s highest official. He spoke to his brothers with compassion.


“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50:20).


Jeremiah, the prophet, told Israel that if they didn’t turn from living in and participating in worshiping pagan gods then God was going to turn them over to the Babylonians. Then it happened. Israel was exiled, but then a prophecy came that they would, after a time, be allowed to return to their promised land which Persia did allow and even helped pay for her rebuilding.




Another story is the book of Esther. It is reflective of war in Israel happening today. It is a time when the hatred of Israel is so deep that Hamand convinces the Persian king to annihilate All Jews from the face of the earth. The Persian king not knowing his queen, Esther, is a Jew. Her uncle, Mordecai, tears his clothes and wails in the streets in chapter 4 verse 1. He didn’t deny where they were but he sounded the alarm to cry out to the Lord for his people. “Such a time as this” didn’t mean that God needed Esther to do anything. He used her for His glory. God doesn’t need us to fix things but he does expect us to be involved in “such times as this.” Esther understood where she was, she knew God’s call on her life, and we see her trusting God in the outcome which could have meant her death. In Esther 8:17, a line may be missed but when the edict came from the king that Jews would live they celebrated, but many nationalities became Jews. There was a revival that came over all the land!


Fast forward to today and the prophecies not talked about in many churches. The last days, the signs of the times, and that the great tribulation is coming. We may know the day or the hour but it is interesting that all the nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 are the arch-enemies of Israel and they are all in place. Our pastor said he doesn’t believe “the Lord’s great victory over the nations” is the end of times war as in the scripture it states that the nations will gather against Israel and no one is there to defend Israel. America is still an ally to Israel, so when we do get to this prophecy do you wonder what happened to the United States? Seems like a question we should be talking about. We should see who the players are and be aware of the prophecies outlined here:


“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, Peace be within you. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity” (Psalm 122: 6-9).


Matthew 24 outlines the destruction of the temple and the signs of the end times where Jesus predicts nations will rise against nations.


“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”


“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people” (2 Timothy 3: 1-5).


Heavy topics, but instead of the church ignoring them or being silent my prayer is more churches start discussing these issues as He is not the feel good God, but He expects us to stand in our faith and to engage in spiritual combat to work hard to reap the harvest:


“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6: 7-9).


It seems that people religious or not are using Esther 4:14, so it is up to you to choose how to use your time!


As he said to Esther, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).


Prayers for people caught up in so many different battles happening throughout the world. I pray for strength during these heightened spiritual battles. Rely on Christ because we know how the final battle ends.


I heard this song and it made me think about how many of our young people have no true positive identity. It is such a struggle for so many mixed-up kids and it is such a sad state when our kids have lost their way. I pray they would come to understand:

The phrase “social justice” is now used to denote an aggressively progressive agenda that is, in fact, fundamentally unjust. 

What is Social Justice Theory?

-asserts that American society privileges people who are white, skinny, heterosexual, and able-bodied

-they believe that privileged individualizes are complicit in their own privilege and in others people’s marginalization

-combination between postmodern philosophy and progressive politics

-consists of combination of movements: Queer Theory, Critical Race Theory, Disabilities Theory, and Fat Theory

-each movement has a belief that American society is structured by hidden and evil identity-based power systems that oppresses certain “marginalized” social groups while enabling certain other “privileged” social groups

-white people are racist

-men are sexist

-skinny people are fatphobic

-able-bodies people are “ableist”

What solutions does Social Justice require?

-to overthrow American society’s alleged pervasive injustice

-Americans who are “woke” to thee injustices must reject traditional categories

-re-engineer the English language

-overhaul an American justice system that is currently based on individual responsibility and procedural justice rather than as “classes” of people and outcome-based “justice”

Social Justice Theory Negative Effects:

-devalues individual accomplishment 

-true justice demands that we acknowledge the historical disadvantages faced by certain groups

-SJT overemphasis group identity and devalues individual accomplishments

-SJT undermines personal responsibility and fosters a culture of dependency, entitlement, and grievance

-SJT infantilizes our society

EX. once individual achievements and personal responsibility are undermined, disgruntled individuals will be less likely to take responsibility and more likely to blame others

-blaming others nurtures a sense of victimhood

-SJT encourages people toward resentment no conflict resolution

Bible teaches the opposite of SJT

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).

Social Justice Theory Suppresses Free Speech:

-the rise of “cancel culture” where people with dissenting views are ostracized, silenced, or punished

-SJT opposes one of America’s historic constitutional liberties: freedom of speech

-undermines the very foundation of our constitutional republic

Social Justice Sets the Conditions for Reverse Discrimination:

-SJT focuses on group identity will result in reverse discrimination

EX. whereas black and brown communities were treated unfairly in the past, white communities will be treated unfairly in the future 

-Social (IN) Justice Movement is rooted in progressive ideology and poses challenges for evangelicals who dare to dissent

-SJT will lead America to devolve into an authoritarian society in which arguments are based on emotion and experience, freedom of speech is suppressed, and discrimination is perpetuated

Better Way to Achieve Justice:

-if we want to correct historic injustices without creating a  new set of injustices, we must create a level playing field that emphasizes equal opportunity and individual merit

-to create a more just society, we must adopt Biblical justice 

-we must foster a culture that encourages personal growth, protects freedom of expression, and values the importance of dialogue and diverse perspectives
