January 4, 2025 Posted Thoughts on my book "In the Eye of Prayer"

Not sure if I am feeling anxiousness, anticipation, terror, or a combination of all three. It is official. My book “In the Eye of Prayer” will be released on January 28th. It can be pre-ordered. Truly a nail biter as I have put off publishing this book for years. I think the hard part for me is summing up for anyone asking “what’s it about?” I just need to practice a response until it is automatic and I don’t stumble over my words and then ramble like I have no clue what the book’s about. I am sure I will get better at it. LOL! Here is the link to my site with all my book information and links on where you can order your copy. If you dare 🙂

As I think about 2025 New Year’s resolutions. Instead of adding to my plate I am going to reduce and fine tune my focus. My pastor just finished our study in the book of Ephesians with a deep dive into the Full Armor of God. Intermingled in that, the new legislation session starts in February. Local legislation matters. K-12 & higher education matters. Regulations, Policies, and our Nevada Constitution matters. The presidential election may be over, but what happens on the local level is even more essential for our families, communities, and state. Stay informed and take time to make your voice heard this legislative session.

"Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed" (Proverbs 11:11).

"For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers" (Proverbs 11:14).

The Armor of God is mentioned in the Old Testament. The prophet Isaiah spoke to the leaders of Judah and Israel. His message was a contrast between warnings of judgment and destruction to the promises of hope and prosperity. This book is so important to today as it is relevant to today’s culture and society. The warfare is not just physical but spiritual. Darkness is in stark contrast with the light. Payers, we are light! This warning speaks volumes:

“For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things. No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil” (Isaiah 59: 3-4).

“Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands. Their feet rush to sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways. The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace” (Isaiah 59: 7-8).

As we wrap up the 1st week of January 2025, prayers over each person’s resolutions. May this year bring blessings. If you are in need of prayers then don’t hesitate to reach out. Red Rock Calvary offers online services and a call in offer after every Sunday service. Get ready to get involved in any capacity this year. Your voice matters!

God Bless you all,
